Refund Policy
Scope
This Refund Policy applies to fees for Cloudservsync payroll audit management engagements and related reviews described on this site. It does not cover third-party products, software subscriptions, or services we do not provide.
Eligibility
Refunds relate to fees paid under a signed engagement letter. Website browsing is free; no refund concept applies to informational page views.
Commencement deposit
A 30% commencement deposit is invoiced on acceptance. If you cancel before fieldwork starts and before we have substantially prepared planning papers, the deposit is refundable minus a HKD 3,000 administration charge. If planning or evidence review has begun, the deposit is non-refundable to the extent of time already incurred, documented in writing.
After fieldwork begins
Once sampling or interviews have started, fees for work performed are due. Unused portions of a fixed fee may be partially refunded if we mutually terminate early and remaining stages are cancelled; the calculation is based on completed stages (scoping, fieldwork weeks, reporting) set out in the engagement letter.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for completed findings packs already delivered
- Third-party costs pre-approved by you (for example courier of working papers)
- Time spent waiting because agreed evidence was not provided by the scheduled fieldwork date
Full vs partial refund
Full refund of amounts paid (less any stated administration charge) applies only when we cancel an engagement for reasons within our control before fieldwork, or when you cancel before planning begins as above. Partial refunds apply to unused future stages when termination is agreed mid-engagement.
Timeframe to request
Refund requests must be emailed to info@cloudservsync.digital within 14 days of the cancellation notice or invoice dispute, with the engagement reference and reason.
Process and method
We confirm eligibility within ten business days, then process approved refunds to the original payment method within 21 business days. Bank charges on international remittances, if any, are borne by the recipient unless we caused the refund need.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule fieldwork once without penalty if you give at least seven days’ notice and we have capacity. Further rescheduling or late notice may incur a day-rate charge for reserved auditor time.
No-shows
If client contacts are unavailable on agreed on-site days without 48 hours’ notice, that day is chargeable and not refundable.
Work already started & materials
Working papers prepared remain our property; copies of issued findings remain yours. We do not refund for dissatisfaction with findings that correctly report exceptions within the agreed scope. Disputes about scope should be raised during the closing meeting.
Exceptions
Statutory cooling-off rights, if any apply under Hong Kong law to your situation, take precedence over this Policy where they conflict.
