Data we collect

  • Enquiry data — name, email, message content, optional headcount and period details submitted via the contact form
  • Engagement data — payroll records, employee identifiers, and related documents you provide for audit fieldwork
  • Technical data — essential cookies and, if accepted, limited analytics cookies (see Cookie Policy)

Purposes

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, perform contracted payroll audit work, maintain engagement records, meet legal obligations, and improve site reliability.

Depending on context, we rely on steps necessary to enter or perform a contract, legitimate interests in operating a professional practice, consent for optional analytics cookies, and legal obligations where applicable under Hong Kong law.

Retention

Enquiry records are retained up to 24 months after the last correspondence unless a longer period is required for an active engagement. Engagement working papers are retained for seven years after completion, or longer if a dispute or legal hold applies. Cookie data follows the durations in our Cookie Policy.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with secure IT providers who host email or file exchange under confidentiality terms, professional advisers, or authorities when required by law. Engagement data is shared only as needed to deliver the review or as you instruct in writing.

International transfers

If a provider stores data outside Hong Kong, we take steps appropriate to the destination and the sensitivity of payroll information, including contractual safeguards where required.

Your rights

Security

We apply access controls, encrypted transit where available, and need-to-know limits within the engagement team. No method of transmission is fully secure; please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive fields through the public contact form.
