Fees & engagement pricing
Payroll audit fees depend on headcount, entities, and the months under review. Below are indicative ranges for Hong Kong engagements — not a checkout.
How fees are set
We quote a fixed engagement fee once we know employee headcount bands, number of legal entities, and the periods to sample. Control assessments may use a day-rate package when the walkthrough agenda is short. Prices below are guidance in Hong Kong dollars; your proposal locks the figure before fieldwork.
Indicative ranges
| Engagement | Typical basis | Indicative range (HKD) |
|---|---|---|
| Full Payroll Audit | Fixed fee by headcount & periods | From 48,000 |
| MPF & Statutory Review | Fixed fee by contribution periods | From 22,000 |
| Payroll Control Assessment | 2–4 day package | From 18,000 |
| Year-End Payroll Close | Fixed fee for close window | From 28,000 |
Larger headcounts, multi-entity consolidations, or incomplete evidence that forces rework may increase the fee. We flag that risk in the proposal rather than surprising you mid-fieldwork.
What influences the quote
- Number of employees and distinct payroll calendars
- Whether housing, commission, or expatriate packages are material
- Availability of complete registers and remittance statements
- Need for Chinese/English bilingual reporting
Deposits and billing
A 30% commencement deposit is invoiced on acceptance of the engagement letter. The balance is due on delivery of the findings pack. Deposits are refundable only as described in our Refund Policy.
What is not included
Statutory financial statement audit opinions, IRD representation, payroll processing, and software licences are outside these fees. If a finding suggests forensic depth beyond the agreed sample, we pause and propose a separate brief.
